An appointment got messed up in the morning, which meant I had to delay getting some errands run, but I was able to make good use of the time at hand anyway.
I was experimenting with a bread recipe… smells wonderful, flavor is very nice, looks pretty in a picture, but just didn't work out well… I'll have to try again… it didn't rise properly & give me the texture I was hoping for… bummer…
Then there's the fish that just doesn't want to be landed… I'm just struggling to get this new setting finished the way I'd like… and it still needs to be mounted on another piece…
The doctor called today & still doesn't have any idea what's going on with my health… she's said she'll refer me to a specialist if we don't get this figured out soon… frustrating not knowing what's going on, and a little frightening too.
That's just life, isn't it? We can't expect everything to go according to plan, we need learn to deal with disappointment with grace… I'd like to think I did pretty well on that today, though I'll admit that when my tool slipped & banged into my fingers while working on my jewelry I said a "dangit" or 2… God's still working on me, not finished yet!
Hope you are having a day filled with God's grace… I think I'll just keep dancing (taking life as God gives it), today was a dance where it felt as if there were as many steps backward as forward, perhaps tomorrow will have better progress… at least I learned a few things!
